THE IMPACT OF DIGITAL TRANSFORMATION ON BUSINESS PROCESSES
This research aims to: (1) investigate the impact of digital transformation on business processes, (2) identify key digital tools that enhance process efficiency, and (3) evaluate the benefits of digital process automation. A survey design was employed to gather data from business process professionals. Using Taro Yamane's formula, a sample size of 378 participants from manufacturing firms in Lagos was determined, ensuring comprehensive insights. The manufacturing sector was chosen for its extensive operational processes. The reliability coefficient score of the survey was 0.87. Findings indicate that digital transformation significantly enhances business processes by providing more efficient, accurate, and scalable process automation. Recommendations include investing in advanced process automation tools, fostering a culture of continuous improvement, and continuously monitoring and optimizing business processes to enhance efficiency.
